Advertising scrapbook, 1921-1927.

Scrapbook (2003-0043, 200 pages) contains approximately 1000 newspaper clippings of advertisements for Bullock's ladies shoe department. Most of the ads are small in format (about 4 x 6" or smaller), feature line drawings of the advertised shoes, a headline, descriptive text (often focusing on how the shoes are fashionable), and price. Laid in is a single Bullock's "Advertising Copy Blank" with handwritten draft text for a "boudoir slippers" advertisement. Scrapbook is located in box one for the collection; preservation photocopies for the scrapbook are located in boxes 2-3. Acquired as part of the John W. Hartman Center for Sales, Advertising & Marketing History.
